"How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?"
-- Theodor Seuss Geisel

Already? Already? And I am not ready....My family and I are off to Toronto, Canada to spend Christmas with my side of the family. I haven't posted for a while but I'm sure you'll appreciate why....

I have some nice plans for next year and goals to be set....so stay tuned... I will try to post some pictures but until then, stay put as I wish you a merry merry Christmas.

Merry Merry Christmas to you all!!!

But before I go, here are some photos I took last Saturday, yes, during that stormy night (!) on my night photography workshop in the city headed by Geir Jordahl. We met around 3:00pm that afternoon and ended at 1:00am in the morning. Are we koo-koo? Um, no - we just love taking pictures! By the way, my 20D still works despite the heavy rain that evening.

I'll be posting some more from this shoot with my nephews....Aren't they the cutest?....This was taken after a couple of days after thanksgiving....before they left for Seattle....they are missing their other brother who is sleeping in the car.

I received this scarf and beanie and a couple more super cute stuff from Kate a few weeks back. With the holidays upon us, I did not even get a chance to thank her for her wonderful work. So here's a big thanks to you Kate!!!! Check out her pad at ART NOODLES

Here are a few more pictures from the photoshoot last week. One word: beautiful family!

Although we did not get to take pics of baby O, I had some fun with energetic Ili. Below are more pics of dad and Ili on that cold winter night.

Connect with Me

I just want to post this picture taken at a workshop I took a few months back. He was one of the models during the shoot and I really loved how he connected with my camera and me. You can see the b/w version of this in the first post I have in this blog.

Family Portrait

Freezing! Chilly! I don't remember California weather being this cold this time of the year. Usually, I'd like to go outdoors for family portraits (it is so much fun especially to see the kids run around and capture them in their "natural state". But there was no way I was going to let this family go out there in the cold.

Here's some photos with some sample x-mas cards.

A few weeks ago, I was very honored to take a photo of Tessie Zaragosa, one of our leaders/activist in the Filipino community. She will appear on the cover page of next year's the Filipina Women's Network magazine. I was really delighted to spend some time with her and hear first hand some of the things she is working on today as well as snippets from her earlier life as an activist.

Thanks for the opportunity FWN!

Here are some samples of our session:

One for Josh

Last Sunday was my lucky day. Josh agreed to have me take some of his pictures. But as you can see from the storyboards, that one pose reveals what he really feels inside. But I love him for being such a sport and for smiling later on.

Finally got all the rough proofing done for Carlo and Steph. We were originally going to do the shoot indoors, portrait studio style. But I'm glad that it did not rain that day and we were able to go outdoors. It was so much fun taking their photos!

Here are some samples of the christmas cards I am offering this year with the photoshoots I've done for the holidays. I will try to add as much as I can although it is getting tough as things are very hectic lately. I hope you like them.
