Has it been that long? Well, time just won't hold still...if only....

I may not be blogging but I'm still here..sorting out the many, many changes going on in my personal life. But before I go on with my life behind the lens, I want to share with you the newest addition to my product offerings. Some like their photos framed and some like theirs in stretched gallery art canvases...now how about we combine the two and we get the best of both worlds....

Hey, not too often we can get the best of both worlds huh? This is a 30 x 30 canvas framed in a sturdy, rich black wood....Now you can never go wrong and your friends will want to have one too.

Ok, here's I view my session with bigs girls and guys (mom, dad, woman, man...) I love to talk...to carry on a converation...I want that whoever is in front of me feels comfortable in front of my camera...because it is important to me that I bring out who they are. A photograph for me is not just a physical representation of a person...but rather a revelation of who that person is...what she looks like at the moment, what is she going through, her struggles, the things that makes her happy and how she expresses herself...its a peak into the different sides of a person....

In this photo session, we just talked and we had a great time....It took me a couple of minutes to do this so that she had no time to be conscious...and that I captured her in her own special and true way. For me, it was magical...

I have ordered several canvases for my clients and I have a few myself -- and yet everytime I see a finished product, I am always at awe at how much more beautiful photographs on stretched gallery canvases are... I always feel like I want to touch them and they look so real that I want to start talking to them --ya I'm weird --haha---! Anyway, I am so excited and can't wait to hear back from Sonia once this arrives at her door :)

I'm not one who is into putting images into purses/ bags...but not until I laid my eyes on these babies. Really Cute and very customizable too!

Finally some sun today. The past few weeks, the continuous gray skies, incessant rain and biting cold has slowly, at first meandered outside my windows and as days went by, crept inside the walls and little by little inside of me...Its a good thing I had my boys this past weekend and they kept me pre-occupied and "anchored". With their laughter, silliness, and playful selves -- they served as my internal sunshine that got me through the horrible, horrible somber gray days. Oh what would I do without them!

So today, I want to celebrate them -- my kids who not only provide me with sunshine and love, but colors ---different colors of life. They make everything so much more...I am treating myself and my walls to some of their warm smiles and colorful, soulful presence....

Off to my lab this goes....

FYI: These are both 20x16 storyboards...backed with foam core.

For Paul, Peggy and their 3 wonderful kids with their 3 Siberian Huskies. My very first time to take photos of dogs and I love it! We did not shoot right away as I wanted to get cozy a little bit with the dogs and by the end of the session, I wanted to go home with them....

Well, instead of me posting some individual photos, I'd just pose these...one is a 10x20 storyboard, ready to be framed and the other one is a collection of different frames and how they can look like in the wall.

Finally -- its here! My staying up late (ok more like 3am!) paid off....Here is my new postcard with some of the cutest kids I've photographed and then some... I can't wait to get the actual cards and get them out there....Yes, I think I am sticking with the blue and pink theme color..

Lots of plans in store this year... but as my friends say...small steps...one at a time..but do come back and visit once in a while....

I've been meaning to show you guys this birthday package I did for Krystal's 18th birthday or for the Filipino community, we call it the "Debut" or the coming out party/welcome into adulthood/rite of passage sort of thing similar to the Quinceaneras or the Sweet 16t birthday party.

Her album was a 10 x 10 hard bound magazine/coffee table style album and I was so delighted to present that to her mom. Likewise, she was also very happy and thrilled to see the finished product...she had no idea it was really a "modern style" album. All their hard work, the beautifully decorated hotel ballroom, the gifts, the towering cake, the gowns, the choreographed dances, the beautiful guests and entourage that accompanied Krystal and her family that special day were captured in that book...and I'm glad that they will enjoy that for the rest of their lives.

I cannot stress enough how beautiful and popular these fine art gallery canvases are. As one of my clients say, it looks so alive, vivid and real that you just want to touch it. I personally love the texture of it and one cannot help but notice it when one enters the room. So, I am really happy to let you know that for the months of November and December, these babies are buy 1 canvas wrap and get the second one at half the price (same size or bigger).

Oh my! I got this 16 x 20 canvas in the mail and oh my! It is gorgeous...not only is the size so awesome..the canvas just makes the photo pop! It is soooo cool! And you think the 8 x 10 is big ---nah!!! It makes it sooo tiny...The 16 x 20 is definitely the new 8 x 10.... You've gotta have one and you've gotta see one coz you're going to want one...I love it and am so excited!!!!

I have just recently discovered adding textures to my photos and although I have no plans to texturize every single one of my exposures, you will surely be seeing more of these effects. They are just fun to use and in some cases, just adds that extra dimension to the work. I love it. Here's an example:
